    What is the relationship between our Concordia of Wisconsin’s Online branch, Concordia University Wisconsin and our partner, Concordia University Ann Arbor.

    Concordia University Online is the online extension of Concordia University Wisconsin and Concordia University Ann Arbor (CUAA).

    A partnership where both universities are now managed under Concordia of Wisconsin’s board of regents was first announced in 2012 we have been offering a selection of CUAA classes to our online students ever since.

    What is Concordia University Wisconsin’s relationship with the greater Concordia University System?

    The Concordia University System (CUS) is a collection of ten colleges and universities throughout the United States, and operated by the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Each Concordia campus is independent and has it’s own president, board of regents, and academic criteria, but hold a connection by sharing academic resources. The CUS offers a Simultaneous Enrollment Program, which allows any student enrolled at one Concordia to attend another as a “visiting student,” for up to a year.

    Yes, Concordia University Online is accredited at the university level, as well as for individual programs. Concordia University Online is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Regional accreditation agencies are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit degree-granting colleges and universities.

    • Academic Advisor – Each degree student is assigned a personal academic advisor. These faculty or staff members are always up to date on the curriculum so they can provide perfectly tailored guidance.
    • Online Writing Lab – Consultants at the Writing Center offer assistance at any stage of a project, whether it’s generating topic ideas, gathering support for a thesis, or editing for errors and clarity.
    • Tutoring – Each Center provides tutors, giving students the opportunity to receive personal instruction in any course.
    • Smarthinking – Trained instructors are available to tutor online students in general subject areas, such as trigonometry, organic chemistry, accounting, statistics, and more.
    • Career Services – Concordia University Online assists students with finding part-time and full-time jobs, job search techniques, volunteer opportunities, and résumés and cover letters.
    • Chaplain – Each Center offers spiritual guidance, advice, and support to the student and his or her family. The chaplain’s service is free and confidential. He does not report to the director, staff, or faculty. Please ask your local Center staff for his name and contact information.
