I am Angela Mack Sullivan, I have a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University Sarasota, FL., Master of Science Degree in Counseling and Human Development, and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Social Work both from Troy University, Troy, AL. I currently hold the position of Chair, in the Social and Behavior Science Division, and I am an Associate Professor of Psychology at Concordia College Alabama. I have been employed there for 7 years. I teach General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Group Dynamics, Human Growth and Development, and Child Growth and Development. I will be teaching Criminal Psychology and Juvenile Theory for CUW. My research interest include marriage and family. My dissertation topic was titled “The Effects on Perceived Sexual Satisfaction in Marriages when Both Parents Work and Children Under the Age of 18 Live in the Home.” I am also a Licensed Social Worker and have been for 13 years. When not teaching, I spend 50% of my time in the counseling center at CCAL. Last year, I developed a Behavioral Awareness Project called Project: PATHWAY (Prevention Awareness Training Holistic Wellness Advocacy in Yielding healthy communities) to help address the health concerns of students, and provide students with the knowledge of health issues that may affect their overall quality of life. The two main focus of this project was to educate college students on mental illness and substance abuse and the impact it has on their age group. I served in the US Army for 8 years and was deployed once to Jinotega, Nicaragua for a humanitarian mission. I ended my time in service in January 2001 as a Sergeant.
