Bethann Ambrose

Online Instructor

I am Bethann Ambrose and I’m excited to be your instructor. I am in my second year at Concordia University as an instructor, but not new to teaching at the university level. Besides the online course I am teaching, I also have the advanced accounting course I am currently teaching along with writing a new managerial accounting online course. I love to teach and have taught at various levels and areas such as elementary education, middle school, special ed, accounting, and technology.
My academic preparation includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater; a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Mount Mary University; a Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Administration from Concordia University; a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Special Education from Cardinal Stritch University. Yes, I like to learn as much as I can!
My working experience started out as an elementary school teacher, but a math minor took me to the corporate world. Professionally, the majority of my work experience has centered on internal auditing. I was an external auditor with Ernst and Young before becoming an internal auditor with companies such as Journal Communications and Harley-Davidson. I have over 15 years of accounting and auditing experience in the area. I have served in leadership positions with the Milwaukee chapter of Internal Auditors, including one year as President. I am an acting CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).
I live in the Hubertus area, not far from Holy Hill. My husband, David, is a mechanical engineer for Wacker Neuson, a company located in Menomonee Falls. We have two adopted children, Kailey and Christopher. Kailey is from Bulgaria and Christopher is from Guatemala. David and I are actively involved in our children’s activities as well as being advocates for our daughter who has been diagnosed with autism. I encourage you to get involved in working with special needs children and adults. The satisfaction you receive is priceless.
