Sarah Pecor, Assistant Vice President of Extended Campus Operations (ECO), oversees Concordia University online and center operations, ensuring optimal support for learning and equipping students to have a successful experience online and/or at one of Concordia University’s nine center locations. It is truly a joy to assist students as an Online Student Success Advisor in the Office of Continuing and Distance Education. Having the opportunity to support degree and licensure seeking individuals as they progress toward their goals is rewarding and inspiring. I work mainly with students enrolled in programs in the Grad Ed department, such as the new Doctorate of Ed in Leadership in Innovation and Continuous Improvement, Grad Teacher Certification, Grad Teaching and Learning, Grad Counseling, Grad Family Life, Grad Education Design and Technology, Grad Special Ed, Grad Early Childhood, Grad Adult and Community Ed, Grad Alternative Ed, and Grad Ed non-degree seeking students. On a daily basis, I help with questions about navigating registration procedures, online coursework, course information, dropping courses, and more. As a life-long learner, I appreciate the challenges of completing a degree in higher education a little later in life. I earned my B.S. in Sociology/Psychology and Communications at Miami University (OH) in a time I refer to as B.I. (Before Internet). Many years later, I completed a Master’s of Science in Education in Counseling right here at Concordia. My family has lived in Mequon since 2004 and I was thrilled to become part of the OSSA team in August 2017. I plan to stay for as long as they will have me!

My piece of the puzzle is obtaining approval for Concordia University to offer online programs in each state in the United States, as well as keeping up with changes in the Federal mandates. I am responsible for providing internal reports for all staff involved in the planning, development and delivery of online courses, keeping in contact with state coordinators and completing and filing forms required to keep our certificates current in each state for every program offered by CUW. I am blessed to have found this part-time position. My work background includes over 22 years working as a legal assistant. In my personal life, I was blessed to be married for 42 years to the love of my life, Bruce, who was called to rest in October, 2013. I currently live in Cedarburg, WI with my two cats, Zoe and QT. I have a wonderful son, James, who lives with his wife, Sarah, in Chicago. My beautiful daughter, Rachel, is a lawyer in New York.

As an Instructional Design Consultant, I work primarily with the School of Nursing and consult with faculty and other subject matter experts to assist them in the development of online courses. I am also responsible for building and maintaining those courses in Concordia’s learning management system. My educational and professional background includes several years of experience in end-user and online learning technology support at Concordia, during which time I have been earning a Master of Science in Educational Design and Technology. Before coming to Concordia, I received a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL and served as a Director of Christian Discipleship for a little over a decade.

As an Online Student Success Advisor, I am a main point of contact for Graduate Education online students. Students contact me via phone or email with any questions they might have; if I am not able to answer their questions myself, I direct the students to the correct person and/or office in the University. After students are accepted into their program, I assist them in getting started with their first course, registering for and/or dropping a course, I provide important information about online procedures, etc. I also work with professors and program directors, as needed, regarding courses or students. I received a BA in History and Spanish from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2011. I accepted a position in the Office of Continuing and Distance Education following my graduation from Concordia University Wisconsin. My husband and I live in Cedarburg, WI.

I have been blessed with opportunities to serve as a teacher, counselor, and principal in Christian elementary and high schools in Wisconsin and Michigan. I enjoy my current ministry at Concordia which allows me to connect high school students with learning opportunities in higher education. I have a math and science education degree from Concordia University Chicago and have a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Cardinal Stritch University. Away from school I enjoy tackling home improvement projects, kayaking, and winemaking. My wife and I have four grown daughters and are together learning to navigate our empty nest and our new very enjoyable role as grandparents.

I am truly blessed to be a part of the Extended Campus Operations at Concordia University Wisconsin. As the Director of Project Management it is my role to work with the Program Directors, Subject Matter Experts and Instructional Designers to plan, execute, and complete the course development for new and revised courses. Along with the entire team we work hard to provide a quality course experience for our students and faculty. I graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin and spent many years in banking and finance. The Lord led me back to Concordia where I have served in a number of roles as part of the mission to prepare our students in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the church and the world.

I really enjoy serving as Online Agreement Coordinator for the Office of Continuing and Distance Education. In this role I provide information management support to the Office of Continuing and Distance Education teams. Some of my duties are preparing and tracking faculty/adjunct online teaching agreements and processing weekly payroll data for submission to CUW’s Payroll Department. I also assist our teams as needed with special projects. I willingly admit to loving data and details, and happily this position has both! I began my Concordia career in 2010 and do not plan on leaving anytime soon. I’ve worked (a long time) in a variety of corporate positions, but truly enjoy the feel of this office, the mission of this campus, and the people in it!

My role at Concordia University of Wisconsin is the Learning Management System Administrator. I am tasked with making sure our Blackboard instance is up, running and functional. I also manage two people on the support side of the house. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Memphis and my Master’s degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Learning and Development from UWM. I live in Port Washington Wisconsin with my wife Audrey and my 5 children TJ, Gavin, Ben, Nate and Teagan. I love all Wisconsin sports teams and the outdoors. If we are not driving our children everywhere we enjoy hammocks, camping and anything to do with coffee.

As a success advisor, I support students taking online courses in the CUW Graduate Nursing and Doctor Nursing Practice programs. I am able to provide information and assistance regarding online procedures and registration. Working closely with School of Nursing staff and campus student support offices ensures students are assisted promptly and effectively, helping make the educational experience less stressful. My professional background includes obtaining an AA degree from Concordia College in Administrative Secretarial (1975-1977). I have worked as administrative assistant in various businesses before returning to work full time at Concordia University, Division of Nursing, fall of 1997.

As the online Learning Tech Support Analyst, I assist Concordia’s online faculty and students with questions and technical issues with the Blackboard Learning System. I also provide general helpdesk and network support for Microsoft, Apple, and mobile devices, as well as manage multiple servers that all of CUW/CUAA use. I have over 10 years of experience in the IT field. I have a B.A. in Education in Science/Music and served in the education field for over 16 years. I am currently in two master programs here at CUW: MSIT and MCM (Church Music). I currently have 3 positions outside of Concordia: Director of Music and Liturgy at my church, WSMA Piano/Voice Adjudicator, and helping out on my family dairy farm. I currently live on my family farm in the Port Washington area.

As an Online Student Success Advisor I work to keep students on track and as a go-between with students, academic advisors, professors and department heads. I help students with registrations, drops, and general CUW information, communicating with them by phone and email. I have been with the university since 1999, first as the Transcript Coordinator for Accelerated Learning then the Coordinator for Continuing Education and Tele-courses. Since 2007 I have been working with the Office of Continuing and Distance Education.

I am currently blessed to serve as an Online Student Success Advisor in the Office of Continuing and Distance Education. As an Online Student Success Advisor, I help assist students in their education journeys from the beginning until they complete their desired program of study. The programs in which I serve as an OSSA are: Master Of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Administration (OLA), Medical Assistant (MA), and Dual Credit. I thoroughly enjoy coming to work every day and look forward to helping students by meeting them where they are. Every student has a different idea of how they want to complete their program, as well as different life circumstances. Therefore, I always tell students, I am here as much or as little as you need me. Whether it be to help direct them on what to take next or to just call and hear a friendly voice when they are having a bad day, I am here for it all! My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Marian University in psychology with minors in communication and leadership. Currently, I am working on a master’s degree and hope to finish in early 2018. In my free time, you can find me cooking, reading , spending time with family and friends, or playing fetch with my dog. I am very honored to be a part of the Concordia team and look forward to many years of service!

I am pleased to serve as an Online Student Success Advisor in the Office of Continuing and Distance Education. In this role I support students in the Grad Ed – Counseling, Grad Ed – Family Life, Transitional MOT, OTD, BSN Completion, and RN-BSN-MSN programs. As students call or email with questions about getting started with online coursework, course information, registration procedures, dropping courses, and more, I am their “go to” person. I am pleased to be able to offer assistance to them and hope that my help will make their education experience a little bit easier. I received my BA in Communications from Concordia University Chicago in 2000 and have had the joy of working for some wonderful organizations including Lutheran Bible Translators in Aurora, IL and the Michigan District, LCMS in Ann Arbor, MI. My family, which includes my husband Matt (band director at Milwaukee Lutheran High School), and children Nathan and Leah, moved to the Milwaukee area in 2012. I have been a part of the Concordia University Wisconsin community since January 2013 and I hope for many years of service here.
